Ryan Christopher Ridlen, age 17, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007 from injuries sustained from an auto accident in Hayes County.
Ryan was born in Aurora, Colo. on March 28, 1990 to Steven Dale and Alicia Ann (Burdick) Ridlen. He was attending Hayes Center High School where he was a member of the Senior Class.
Ryan loved fishing with his family and sisters; he was a Duke Basketball fan and was artistically gifted. He helped his father with the plumbing business and remodeling of their home.
Preceding him in death was an infant brother, Garrett.
Survivors include his parents, Steven and Alicia Ridlen of Palisade; three sisters, Lindsay, Shannon and Kelsey Ridlen of Palisade; maternal grandparents, Bernice "Luther" and Cecilia Burdick of Aurora, CO; paternal grandparents, Robert and Deanna Ridlen also of Aurora; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; girlfriend, Samantha Dueland; special friend, Maranda Harouff, and many other friends.
Memorials were to be given in his name.
Funeral services were Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the new Hayes Center High School Gymnasium with Pastor Fay Ann Blaylock officiating.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
