Shari Lyn Brandt

January 11, 1951 — February 22, 2016

Shari Lyn Brandt, age 65, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at the University of Colorado Medical Center in Denver.

Shari was born on January 11, 1951 to Allan and Donna (Ruby) Stobie in St. Louis, Missouri.  She graduated from Lane High School in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1969.

On November 22, 1985 she married James Brandt in Thornton, CO.

Shari enjoyed going to Bible study, taking care of her dogs and helping her husband with the family property management business.

She was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church where she served a term on the Vestry Board and was an active member of Daughters of the King.

Survivors include her husband, James Brandt of McCook; son, Jason Jeremiah Brandt and wife, Kate of Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA; son-in-law, Darren Burns and wife, Jennifer of McCook; father, Allan Stobie and wife, Patricia of Palm Harbor, FL; mother and father-in –law, Don and Marilyn Brandt of McCook; brother, Bob Stobie and wife, Betty of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren, Joshua, Isabelle and Lilly.  Also surviving are brother-in-laws John Brandt of Thorton, CO and special friend Lindy Van Domelen Arvada, CO, Tim Brandt of Longmont, CO, nephew James and wife Kelly Strobie of Hawaii, niece Samantha and husband Sowerty of Tucson, AZ.  Special friends Pete and wife Gracie Blodgette of Kaeohe Bay, HI, and Deb and Rick Kelin of Westminster, CO.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna; daughter, Jolene and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dr. Brad J. Brauer officiating.   Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the National MS Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163 or the McCook Human Society, 100 South Street, McCook, NE  69001.
