Stacie Elizabeth (DeCrane) Shaddock died Monday, May 11, 2009 at her home in McCook. She was 49 years old.

Stacie was born on July 7, 1959 in Houston, TX to Alfred and Joan (Hoffman) DeCrane. She graduated from Bronxville High School, Bronxville, NY in 1977. She continued her education at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO with a Bachelors Degree in Agronomy and later a Masters Degree in Horticulture.

On June 7, 1981, she was united in marriage to Jeff Reeves Shaddock in Bronxville. To this union three children, Karl, Morgan and Madeline were born. They made their home in McCook where Stacie was a busy homemaker and mother as well as Program Coordinator at McCook Community College Center for Enterprise and caterer for Sehnert's Bakery and Bieroc Café©. She was also an active volunteer for the YMCA, Docent for Sheldon Arts Program, founder and volunteer for Evening in Hospice for Community Health Foundation, and began the quilting store "Sew Little Time". She loved quilting, scrap booking, gardening and attending all of her children's activities.

Preceding her in death were her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Shaddock, of McCook; children, Karl, Morgan and Madeline Shaddock of McCook; parents, Alfred and Joan DeCrane of Vero Beach, FL; brother, David DeCrane and wife, Linda, of Santa Monica, CA; sisters, Lisa and husband, Alvaro Saralegui, of Bronxville, Stephanie and husband, Paul Cavanor, of Edina, MN, Sarah and husband, Dan Norton and Jenny and husband, Jon Langford all of Davidson, NC; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Memorials were to be given in her name to the YMCA Partners for Youth or McCook Arts Council.

Rosary took place Friday, May 15, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, May 16, 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Gary Brethour officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
