Stacy L. Schmidt

Stacy L. Schmidt, age 42, of Omaha, NE passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020 in Omaha.

Born July 3, 1978 to parents David Joseph and Sandra M. (Lashley) Schmidt in North Platte, NE, Stacy was one of two daughters.  She attended school in McCook, graduating from McCook High School with the Class of 1997.  Stacy furthered her education by attending McCook Community College and Metro College where she earned an associate degree in Criminal Justice in 2014.

Stacy loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her nephew, Hunter.  She was a member of several Spina Bifida Groups and enjoyed learning new things.  Her family referred to her as a “Night Owl” as she was always researching and spending time on her computer.  Stacy was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses.

Stacy was preceded in death by her father, David Schmidt; her grandparents; two uncles, Bill and Duane; and her aunt, Laree.

Those left to celebrate her life include her mother, Sandy (Lashley) Morris of Omaha; sister, Melody (Doug) Hilzendeger and their son, Hunter, all of Omaha; two uncles, Randy (Carol) Lashley of McCook, NE and Larry (Jeniene) Lashey of Culbertson, NE; as well as numerous cousins and extended family members.
