Steve W. Turner

Steve W. Turner, age 65, of Bartley died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Cambridge Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
Steve was born on June 7, 1944, in Denver, Colorado to Charles William and Madeline Fletcher (Buck) Turner. He graduated from Santa Barbara High School in Santa Barbara, California.
On August 14, 1979, he was united in marriage to Martha Ellen Merholz (Mavigliano) in McCook. They made their home in the Bartley community for over 30 years. Steve was employed by the public school system as a custodian/grounds keeper until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents. A sister and brother, also a daughter and granddaughter.
Survivors include his loving wife, children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials were to be given in his name to the McCook Food Pantry.
There will not be any services.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
