Tammy Jane Brave Hawk

Tammy Jane Brave Hawk, age 48, passed away May 21, 2024, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE.

Tammy was born on December 15, 1975, in Hays, Kansas to mother, Wilma Hayden. She was later adopted by James (Mary) McBride. She graduated from high school in 1995 in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Throughout her years, she was a waitress and was a member of First Congregational Church. 

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to ride motorcycles and was working on crocheting blankets. She was very interested in the Cherokee heritage of her ancestors. She also enjoyed spending time with her dogs.

Tammy is preceded in death by her mother, her brother, Benny Foster, and her adopted brothers, Shane and Shannon McBride.

Those left to celebrate her life are her adoptive father; daughter, Jessika (Kenny) Weaver of Cambridge, NE; sons, Dakota (Vicki) McBride of McCook, NE, and Mathew McBride of Trenton, NE; brothers, Bill (Barb) Patras of McCook, NE, and Sean McBride of Kearney, NE; six grandchildren; and numerous friends and extended family.
