Thomas Michael Frizzle, age 73, of Stratton, NE passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 at Community Hospital in McCook.
Tom was born November 24, 1948 in Port Huron, MI to parents Ralph and Alice (Cameron) Frizzle. He was one of seven children.
Tom enlisted in the United States Army in 1969. He proudly served his country as an intelligence officer until his Honorable Discharge in 1971. Following his discharge, he continued to work as a defense contractor for the military. He also attended college in Los Angeles.
On October 22, 1976, Tom married the love of his life, Shawnda (Quinn) Frizzle in Las Vegas, NV. To this union three children were born. Living in many different states, Tom and Shawnda settled on making Stratton their home.
Over the years, Tom enjoyed gardening, hiking to look for rocks, minerals and fossils, camping and spending time in the outdoors. He was a member of VFW Post #9155 in Stratton as well as a past board member for the Stratton Village. Tom served as an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dave, Bernie and Paul Frizzle; and his sister, Karen Dowling.
Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Shawnda Frizzle of Stratton; son, Scott Frizzle of Longmont, CO; daughters, Jeanette (Jay Beasley) Frizzle of Longmont and Dana Frizzle of Stratton; brother, Chuck (Nancy) Frizzle of CA; sister, Nancy (Gerry) Behaylo of MI; sister in law, Sue Frizzle of WA; and one grandchild, Annaleah Frizzle.
Visitation will be held at 12pm, one hour prior to funeral services, on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in McCook, NE.
A funeral service will begin at 1pm on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, McCook, with Dr. Jason Blomstedt officiating.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 3pm on Monday, July 11, 2022 in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Stratton.
