Vera Louise Crabtree died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at her home in Indianola. She was 80 years old.
Vera was born on October 22, 1925 at McCook to Wallace Riley and Louise Nora (Brown) Aman. She graduated from McCook High School in 1943, McCook Junior College in 1945 and attended the University of Lincoln.
On February 10, 1946, she married Leslie B. Crabtree in McCook. To this union three children were born. They made their home in various locations around the world including, England, Germany, Alaska and Offitt Air Force Base in Omaha. After her husbands retirement from the military in 1966, they made their home in Indianola where she was a homemaker.
Vera was a fifty year member of the Indianola United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Wallace and Louise Aman; husband, Leslie; and daughter, Beth Crabtree in 1994.
Survivors include her two sons, Richard Crabtree of Martell and Tommy Crabtree of Indianola.
Memorials may be given to the McCook Humane Society.
Graveside services were Thursday, April 20, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Cambridge with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
