Vernice Mary Weskamp, 95, died Friday, December 17, 2004 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.
She was born July 23, 1909 to Henry Joseph and Mabel (Williams) Weskamp at Indianola. She graduated from Danbury High School in 1927 and lived in this area all her life.
She taught in several rural schools in the area and at St. Patrick's Grade School. She loved gardening, embroidery and working cross word puzzles.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Altar Society.
Preceding her in death were parents; and a brother Elmer J. Weskamp.
Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Graff and husband Martin and Elsie Sullivan all of McCook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are being accepted in her name or may be given the Alzheimer's Association.
Rosary will be Monday, 7 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 10 a.m. at St. Pat's Catholic Church in McCook with Father Gary Brethour officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday 9 a.m. until time of the Rosary.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
