He went on to New York Watchtower Bible and Track Society in 1950, where he operated a huge rotary press printing Bibles and Bible literature. He stayed 4 years then left to further his ministry in Omaha. Waldon met and on Aug 20, 1966 married Marilyn A. Johnson who raised his two sons. His hobby was flying. He received his pilot's license in 1976 from Milt and Jay Johnson. After retirement he took up R.C. flying and building his own remote control planes. He was a member of the McCook R. C. Club and helped to build the runway.

He and his son Troy flew all the way to New York City in a Single Engine Plane, to visit New York and the Watchtower Society. He had a full life and looked forward to the Resurrection Hope under God Kingdom on Earth.
