Wayne Eugene Hauxwell died Monday, January 12, 2009 at his home in Cambridge. He was 69 years old.
Wayne was born in Indianola on October 28, 1939 to Christopher "Jay" and Mildred A. (Stewart) Hauxwell. He grew up in the McCook area attending rural schools, District #30 and Perry School. He graduated from McCook High School in 1957. He continued his education graduating from McCook Junior College and Parks School of Business in Denver, Colorado. He served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam Conflict.
Wayne married Eva McGuire in December of 1963 in Denver, Colorado. To this union two sons were born. He was employed as a bookkeeper for McCook Equity Exchange, Stockman's Feed and Supply and Cambridge Farmer's Co-op for many years.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Jay and Mildred Hauxwell.
Survivors include his sons, Rex and wife, Sophia, of Ralston and Michael and wife, Leana, of Council Bluffs, IA; sister, Janet and husband, Dale Heimer, of McCook; four brothers, Richard (Jeanie), Douglas (Carol), Neal (Margie) all of McCook and Ronald (Bonnie) of Springfield, MO; step-mother, Selma Hauxwell of Arapahoe; and four grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Bret and Zachary.
Memorials may be given in his name.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
