William "Bud" Scott

January 20, 1953 — February 19, 2018

Bud Scott, 65 of Loveland, CO was born in Nebraska on January 20,1953 the day President Dwight Eisenhower was inaugurated and died due to an extended illness on President’s Day, February 19, 2018. He moved with his family to Loveland CO in 1959 after starting kindergarten at Eddy Country School graduating from Loveland High School in 1971 and entering the Army October 1971.

Bud proudly served as military police with 793 MP Battalion, Company C in Bamburg, Germany until 1974 and then graduated from Aims Community College in Criminal Justice. He worked as a Weld County Deputy Sheriff, Title Insurance Examiner and excelled as a waiter for Garden of the Gods County Club, Chez Pierre, Moot House, Eaton Place, and Ft. Collins County Club.

Bud loved his Irish heritage and spent extended time in Ireland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, cooking and wood working. He learned to play the bagpipes and was an entertaining humorous story teller. His family and many friends are remembering stories of his adventures.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Vaughn and Eugenia Scott of Loveland; grandparents, Bud and Ruth McMullen and Will and Nora Scott; aunts, Lois Lee Wilson and Gwendolyn McMullen and cousin, Lawrence Wilson.

Survivors include his sister, Shirley Beth Babler, brother-in-law, Mike Babler, nephew, Stephan Babler, and great nephew, Andreas Babler all of Crested Butte, Colorado; niece, Alisa Babler of Denver and cousin, Robert Wilson of Parker, CO.

A military graveside service will be held in Hayes Center, Nebraska, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11:00 am, followed by lunch at the American Legion Hall with an opportunity to share memories and stories of Bud.
